Interview with Oscar Gutiérrez, technical director of El Lago Club
In an interview with El Lago Club's technical director, Oscar Gutiérrez, he shares with us the technical challenges and progress of a farm covering more than two million square metres.
The technical director points out that the terrain has a complex topography, which requires detailed analysis at each stage of development. Earthworks and the location of buildings must be carefully planned because, although the setting offers truly privileged sea views, the technical conditions pose a considerable challenge.
At Real de La Quinta, there are currently five projects underway, each at different stages: some still in the design phase, others in full construction and several nearing completion. Progress is structured progressively: new developments are activated as sales are finalised.
El Lago Club Progress
Oscar points out that the technical department has focused on three main elements in the design of El Lago Club: the golf course, which is already being planted and will only need some finishing touches by the end of the year.
The lake has been completely waterproofed. The first phase of filling the lake was carried out this winter, and the second phase of filling will be carried out this coming winter, along with the fine-tuning of all the filtration systems and the landscaping once the lake is full.
As for the Club House building itself, the interior is 90% complete and will be finished in three to four months, along with the construction work and the exteriors, tennis courts, swimming pool, beach pool and children's area, which is 80% complete.
